My customer is having a problem that some reports cannot be print previewed. When clicking print preview, nothing happens. However, it is possible to print report to pdf.
Does anybody have an idea why the print preview function will not work? This is for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2015 Cumulative Update 3 in Australian Version.

We recently moved to NAV 2017 and we have one user experiencing the same problem. When she attempts to preview the Customer Payment Receipt, only the headers appear in the "subform" area. The data appears when she saves as XLS or PDF directly from the Print button drop-down, but she cannot correctly preview. We are looking into the graphics card (as we just re-built her entire Windows 10 machine w/no improvement). I will update this with the outcome -- in case others run into this issue.
Hello ,
could you please
check the graphic card for the windows . and try to update it . most of this issue comes from the graphic card
Dear Fabrice, I have not been able to find a solution to this issue. For now, my customer is using the workaround suggested above by Mahesh of using print layout mode. Our customer will be upgrading to NAV 2016 shortly. I will check if the issue is persisting in NAV 2016.
By the way, just so everybody can see a clearer picture of the issue, could you share what build and country version of NAV your customer is using?
I guess I really shouldn't have marked the issue as solved. It really isn't solved. I just am satisfied more or less with the workaround.
Dear Theodore,
I have the same trouble with one customer of me :(
Finally, did you have solution about your preview problems ?
Regards,
Fabrice

Any ideas about why it shows in print layout mode, but not in the normal mode?
Hi Mahesh,
Yes, data is displaying correctly in Print Layout mode.
Kind regards,
Ted
Hi,
Could you check whether the data is displayed in the Print Layout mode?
If I remove all filters, it previews but the data doesn't show right. Here are some screenshots.
Does it preview if you don't apply a filter ?
The only filter applied is an item filter. I checked and the item that they are filtering to has sales data. If I remove all filters, I see a lot of blanks for items that actually have sales.
