Running into error while installing 2019 Release Wave 2.

Posted on by 130

Hey, I am installing 2019 Release Wave 2 (V19) on prem. But it is giving up error, when we use advanced installation option. We are storing the Database on SQL Server 2016 Standard Edition. I am attaching screenshot of the error and event log for your reference. Has this happened to anyone else? If so, what was the fix?

    Hi Harsh,

Can you please check few things.

    1) Please check weather IIS is configure or not.
    2) For web Help server system will use port no. 8080 standard, please check weather it's free or not.
    3) Please check Firewall Possible firewall restrict to create a assign port to Help server.

    Hi,

I would prefer not to install everything if you are selecting the Web installation too, try to Install only BC first and later by using Add/Remove button try to install WEB components, see if you are facing any problem to start IIS.

    Thanks.

Hi, first of all, BC 2019 Release Wave 2 is BC15, not BC19 (2021 release wave 2). And it was end of support last year.

For BC15, there is no problem with SQL2016.

You can go to the event viewer to see if there is a more specific error message.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks.
