Good Morning All,
Currently in my SMB we have NAV 2009 R2 running in production. We currently have an outside vendor who is managing the VAR License but... Hypothetically if we were to purchase our own license from MSDN to have complete control over all tables. If we are to apply this license, could we do so without affecting or damaging our current enviorment? Is this even possible to begin with? Thanks for all your help.

The MSDN license does not give you access to everything. In fact, the MSDN license is probably one of the most restrictive licenses out there, if you are even lucky enough to have one that is not expired. If you are looking for development capabilities, you need to talk to your partner about purchasing the developer granules. There are a number of levels in there, from report designer, to form designer, to a full developer license (which can cost close to 30,000 (thirty thousand) USD). Even if you go for the most expensive one though, as an end user you will never get full developer rights. You have to be a NAV partner to get access to that type of license.
