Dimensions in a GL account JV

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi everyone,
I am just bookkeeping for a client. I have almost 1000 entries to post in GL accounts.
I have defined two dimension as A and B. all the entries are segregated based on dimensions.
An expense like, travel will have values from both dimension , so have kept dimensions value code empty in dimension setting for the account and posted an entry using the general Journal and defied dimension in each individual row. It worked fine.
But I am unable to upload all the data from excel by predefining the dimension in excel. I don't want to do that for each row in NAV, as it will be very time consuming.

How you are uploading data ? Are you using rapid start or XMLPORT ?
