Hi Ashik,

Do you have more information about the scale device? What options does it have to communicate? If it is exporting a file, you can use data management to import it. Does it support communication via web-services?

we have Serial Port Scale and it is connected directly CPU so we want to Fetch Weight in D365 Finance and Operation form using trigger button is it possible ? how ?

I already done this integration in Ax2012R3 but in D365 FinOps Cloud based App so I don't know how to do this.

From Dynamics 365 F&O, you can't directly use the serial port of a client machine. Then you have to write an own on-premise .NET application which will read the scale values and expose it e.g. with a web-service or via Azure Service Bus. I don't have experience myself.

Hi Ashik,

I don't have the experience, but you would need to create an own middleware application or if available use an existing one. Probably the vendor or the scale device does have some additional developer help?
