This has been covered in a number of previous community posts and also in Technet and e-learning and a search is all that is needed..

Here for example is a simple overview community.dynamics.com/.../units-and-unit-conversions

Note the conversion of pieces to units to pieces may be  different for every item, and thus has to be set differently for each item, not as a generic conversion.   ( with a unit like length there is a fixed relationship between metre and mm irrespective of the item, but the  number of pieces in a box will depend on the item (and also maybe on the supplier) it could be 1 or a done or a 100 or a gross or........

Be careful about introducing a new conversion on an item with open orders.

Thank you for sharing. But can you tell me that if we have purchased our item in Box and Maintaining inventory in Box too. Is there any way to convert it after it has been purchased and received ?

Since I read the link that you gave and From that link I come to know that you have make the setup of Purchase units in Box and Maintain inventory in Pieces before making any kind of purchase and receipts.

Well Thanks MWAT. But the solution recommended in the thread is complex. But I have read and understood it. Thanks a lot.
