AX2012 RS WHS Production Picking Allow Partial Reservation

I am having some trouble with our production picking waves.  The Production parameter "Allow Partial Reservation" is set, but when I process our picking waves, no work is created if any of the lines show an Item Allocation Failure.  Once the materials are on hand, the wave will process without a problem.  First, am I understanding the parameter correctly?  We have a production bom that includes 10 lines that need picking.  8 lines can allocation their items, but two lines have zero quantity on hand. (typically, these lines are on a production order that has not yet been completed).  Should a wave with "Allow Partial Reservation" enabled be able to create the work for the 8 lines?  If so, what settings enable that situation?

    Hi lispyj,

    Check if you have checked the parameter "Stop work on location directive failure" for raw material picking in warehouse management > Location directive failure

    Un check this check mark and try again.

    I do not have any entry at all for Raw Materials Picking in the Location Directive Failure. Do I need to add one, even if the stop check will be unchecked?

    Is "Allow partial reservation" is also set on the release to warehouse drop down in the production order warehouse tab?

    Yes, the production order warehouse policy is 'Allow Partial Reservation'.
