Hi,
We are in the process of upgrading a database to NAV2013R2 from NAV5. In our database we have three Add-ons with different menu suites, 1051, 1055 and one using 1090. When I only have menu 1051 in the database, I can see the part included in that menu. When I add 1055, I can see the parts included in both 1051 and 1055. But when I add 1090, I can not see the parts included in 1051. The parts from 1051 that I know of are located under Administration -> Administration, while the parts in 1055 are using a unique menu.
So I wonder, how I can find out what it is in the modified 1090 that makes 1051 disappear?
Thanks in advance

Hi,
I had the same annoying issue with add-on menu suits, NAV 2017. Tried compiling/importing in different ways, but what immediately helped me is creating a user. Yes - I was working on a dev database where anybody could access. But when I created few super users - lost menu items showed up for them. Just another thing to try..
I have the same problem with NAV2017, build 10.0.14199, so it looks like the bug is not completely addressed in one of the bugfixes for NAV2013R2.
When I create a MenuSuite 1090 from scratch it is inheriting previous menusuites but when I modify it, I'm loosing one of the 3rd party MenuSuites (Menu-Suite 1060). 2 Other 3rd party menu-suites (1052, 1054) seem to inherit just fine. I verified that it is not a Licensing issue and NAV2015 doesn't have any problems.
Any ideas?
hi,
this is a bug of nav 2013 r2.
There is a hotfix (Build 35822): https://mbs2.microsoft.com/Knowledgebase/kbdisplay.aspx?scid=kb,en-us,2907587
"This hotfix resolves the following problems:"
- 354638/354996/355054: Not all menu items are inherited from higher level MenuSuites when you create a new Company MenuSuite (1090).
- 354640: Changes made to a MenuSuite are not inherited in lower level MenuSuites.
Having the same trouble. Have some menus on 1080-Partner which are not being shown once I add a new 1090-Company. Exported the 1090-Company to .txt and noticed the menus that are not appearing have something like "deleted=yes".
Appart from the solution you have found, any other tip? (Did everything it was suggested above)
We got a new menu from the partner using the 1090 and now it seems to work. So problem solved. It would be interesting to know what caused it though.
I have compiles all Menu suite objects. There is a "Lost Items" menu in 1090, it is however empty.
When you added the 1090 MenuSuite, did you compile all the MenuSuite objects (all together, in just one time)?
Do you have now a "Lost Items" menu in 1090 object?
Adding a picture so you can get an idea what gets missing from the general settings when I add menu 1090. A lot of standard NAV menu items along side a few from the add-on menu 1051.
Yes, our developer license has permissions on the menus 1051 and 1055. And since Menu Items from 1010 also disappears, like the new Import- and Export of Data Files mentioned above, I can not see how this could be a license issue. Maybe there is something I don't understand.
Does your developer license has permission on these 1051 and 1055 menus? If you have not these permissions, this is an answer. When you try to compile 1090, system will try to add 1051 and 1055 to 1090. If you have not permissions to compile them, system will not add them to 1090. Try this with license which cover all these add-ons.
