Modern POS Client AX 2012 R3 CU11

Hi All,

I am researching the modern POS installation and configuration at the moment and finding a lot of (different) information on the internet.

The question that worries me the most is what operating system is recommend for the mPOS client. One other technical guy i spoke to said that Windows 8.1 is recommend cause the POS application is a windows 8.1 store application. I found one source (ax.help.dynamics.com/.../browser-requirements) that says the following;

Retail Modern POS is supported only on Windows 10 Pro, Enterprise, and Enterprise Long Term Servicing Branch (LTSB) editions.

Anyone has any technical experience on this specific topic? I probably have a lot more questions in the near future as the project progresses. Your reply is appreciated.

The AX help wiki you are referring to is for AX7, but your questions is for R3. Windows 8.1 works for both releases as well, afaik.

Hi Andreas, is that correct that Microsoft's base MPOS solution for AX 2012 R3 is a Windows 8. Would having MPOS installed on windows 10 will cause any issue?
