Please explain about Consumption calculation formula types in BOM.

Say you want yo calculate paint consumption in a single BOM and use this on multiple items.
The formula then use the dimensions given on each item on the Engineering fast tab for the calculations.
So you can have one BOM for a certain type of paint and add it to multiple products.
Have you read what MS wrote on technet/help?
So rather than using the quantity (standard) you can use the measurements (field set to the right) or the step (previously post you have a blog link to an explanation)
