AX7 CTP8 VM - Locked Out

Hi,

I am not sure what happened but since yesterday I cannot log into the AX7 CTP8 VM that I am running on my computer. I always get the message "Your account is temporarily locked to prevent unauthorized use. Try again later, ..." Yet, no matter how long I wait I cannot login as administrator anymore. Other users work fine. Does somebody have a suggestion what to do other than waiting?

Hi Ludwig, Some of my colleagues were facing the same issue. Better is to use your own tenant instead of using administrator@contosoax7.onmicrosoft.com. Also You can now download AX RTW VM from connect program if you are interested.

Hi Ludwig,

Thanks very much for pointing to the post which talks about creating new office 365 account. I had the same issue and now able to access Dynamics 365 AX instance using my office 365 organizational account. Previously, I was trying to use administrator@contosoax7.onmicrosoft.com.

After login, I can see the workspace and all the menu options, but no data is showing, although I can see the demo data in SQL server. Any clue how to resolve this issue ? I am using local Dynamics 365 VM downloaded from connect and platform version update 3, operations version 1611.

You can create the demo data yourself

Yet, when doing that be aware of the following

Hi Ludwig,

I already have the demo data and I can see that in SQL server, so I don't have to create a new demo data. Do you know what I need to do to make that same demo data showing in the workspace when I logged in ? I updated the userinfo table with USMF company, but when I logged in, it says the company USMF doesn't exist in the system, whereas it does exist.

Also, when I try to generate demo data, I am getting below errors:

Cannot set value on Delivery_SalesCalendarId in its current state (Visible = True, Enabled = True, ReadOnly = True)

Hello Baber,

I do not know what went wrong with your local demo installation.

Probably it might be the best to scrap that demo machine and set up a fresh one because I never had the problems you report.

I haven't found any solution for this, just created the VM again from setup.
