Event Registration Cancellation - Which Security Role

For a client of ours, we are looking for the correct Security Role to see the Cancelled Event Registrations. We've given the User the Event Administrator role, however, she gets the following message in the 'Contacts who canceled' view on Events 'Something went wrong'. And when she refreshes, the same message applies.

I have the same question (0)

RE: Event Registration Cancellation - Which Security Role

    Hi Renee.

If they only have the Event Administrator role they don't have access to Contacts.

If you open the role you will see Contact access its not given:

You can either give them another role that has the Contact boxes ticked, or create a new one just for Contact access.

Just a heads up that usually its not recommended to modify out of the box roles if you are thinking to modify the Event Administrator.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Ralucad,

They do have another security role for Contacts, Accounts and Leads entitity permissions, so this will not help.

    Kind regards,

    Renée

RE: Event Registration Cancellation - Which Security Role

    Hi,

As the cancellation of an event registration is actually just changing the status of registration, (Active -> Inactive), and the 'Contacts who canceled' view in the main form of event cannot be seen exactly what entity it is associated with, I assume that it needs the privileges to Event Registration entity.

    Here is my test result.

    Without the privileges:

    After granting the privileges:

It is still unable to be shown, so I granted the privileges to the following entities:

    • Registration Response
    • Pass
    • Check in
    • Session
    • Session Registration
    • Custom Registration Field

And finally, the view can be shown normally.

Please check the privileges of the security role of the user you are using for these entities above.

It seems there was a bug with the standard Security Roles. After creating a ticket at Microsoft, they were able to see the Event Cancellations.
