ReportReport

Hi all, so I encounter a problem where my Inventory value report doesn't show any batch number,

I've check the configuration and the batch number already checked in inventory dimension (Inventory Management / Setup / Inventory / Inventory Value Reports).

Is there config that maybe missing?

In the (Product Information Management / Setup / Dimension Group / Tracking Dimension Group), the Financial Inventory is not checked, is it cause the batch number not showing in Inventory Value report problem? since the checkbox already disabled and I can't test it.

Thanks in advance.

    Yes.

Inventory value is only posted at the level of details based on the financial inventory.

You can not change this once an item has transactions... You need to create a new item.

If you need to change it for an item, then do as this bloggpost suggest.

You can not simply activate this parameter and then run the report. You would need transactions posted with this settings on the item.

So to test it you need a new item.

    Hello Ahau,

Frederik is completely right. Yet what I want to ask is why respectively who in your company need to track and reconcile inventory values at the batch level? Most corporate financial controllers that I know control inventory values at the site and (at best) at the warehouse level. So I am just wondering why this detailled level is needed in your case? Do you have some specific analysis / reporting requirements? Would be great if you could let us know to satisfy my curiosity :-)

    Many thanks and best regards,

    Ludwig

Yes... It does up the level of data granularity in inventSum and might slow down some processes and reports like on hand inventory and such.
