I’m exploring integration options for Dynamics 365 with external systems and services.

There seem to be multiple approaches available such as Dataverse APIs, Power Automate, and custom connectors.

From a long-term maintenance and performance perspective, what are the recommended best practices when integrating Dynamics 365 with third-party applications?
