has anyone seen this error when trying to install on a laptop/desktop -- GP 2018?
I've seen syUserInRoles error before but not with DBMS: 64, so not sure on that.
Based on the error, try launching GP Utilities using 'Run As Administrator', even if you're logged onto the machine as an admin account and you must be using the 'sa' login for GP Utilities, and the 'sa' login must be assigned the 'sysadmin' role on the SQL side, and then the db_owner database role for all GP system and company databases.
From the error, it seems like one of these requirements isn't being met.......
