Enable rich text editor for appointment

Hi all,

How can we enable rich text editor for D365 sales online as presecribed here:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/enable-rich-text-experience

In fact my question is given running Powershell is not possible for an online version, ho can we enable this?

    Hi Pop,

    To answer you question, it depends on wether you wanted to use the rich text control on Classic UI or New UCI.

    1. If you wanted on classic, then only way is to run the PS scripts to change the org settings to enable for OOB Appointment activity only. NOT for custom entity.

    (copy paste the code in the MS link on PS Developer command and execute )

    2. If you wanted on new UCI, use OOB control provided by MS, you can enable using the steps fiven by Leah Ju.(Only New UCI)

    I have created custom Richtext control for new UCI/Powerapp, which address some limitation of OOB control like browser spell checker, wordcount etc.

    To enable:

    -> download manged solution(github.com/.../Download)

    -> import 

    --> follow similar steps given in second option(UCI step)

    Please follow below article to enable rich text for Appointment entity.

    Now in 2020 Release wave 2 you can convert any multiple line text field to rich text editor. Please see below link.

    In fact, you don’t need do it follow the article if you want to enable rich text in Appointment.

    You can download Rich Text Control in PCF Gallery: https://pcf.gallery/rich-text-control/, which can easily achieve you goal.

    1.Go Settings > solutions to import the file.

    2.Go Settings > customize the system > Entities > Appointment > Form to double-click multiple line text field to add the control.

    3.Save and publish all.

    4.Test
