1099-NEC and 1096 for year end

Hello,

If a GP 2018 or 18.2 client updates to 18.3, they get the changes to the 1099-MISC and the new 1099-NEC form. Will the 1096 have the NEC information, or do we need the 1096 from the Year-End update? Will it require the Year-End update to be applied, or can we import the 1096, that will be released with the year-end update, into the modified forms and reports dictionary?

Hello Margi,

Thank you for your response! Does this mean that the 1096 for the October 2020 18.3 release will not include the NEC information, and that they will need the 1096 from the year-end?

Payables 1096 form changes will be included in the 2020 Year-End changes please look for these pages when the Year End update is released.
