D365 Project Management - differences between Cost Price and total cost price

Hi all,

I have a question on FX rates used when posting project transactions.

I've posted a GBP transaction into an entity with USD currency.  The FX rate was stated on the ProjExpenseGeneralJournalLineEntityTemplate upload sheet.

The total cost amount shows the correct FX rate whereas the Cost price shows the FX rate at the transaction date.

Can someone help me understand why the FX rate on the journal didn't override the FX rate of the cost price?

I'm using Dynamics 365 version 10.0.8

thanks all,

Paul

    Hi Paul,

I moved this thread to the d365 forum.

    Regarding your question:

I think you run into the following issue / bug that is fixed in 10.0.9.

Issue 401423. The cost price displayed for an expense transaction is not using the overridden exchange rate provided.

Do you have the possibility to upgrade to 10.0.9 and test this process again?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
