There is no way to add members to a marketing list via the UCI in the Marketing App. The marketing list entity was only really added to the new UI in Marketing so that you could create Subscription lists which must be based on static marketing lists. They're not meant for manually adding people to. They are supposed to be created to allow people to add/remove themselves by using the Subscription Centre functionality. I told Microsoft recently at a user event they should make this transparent (that the subscription centre was actually using a static marketing list) to the user how it actually works in the back end to avoid confusion so let's see if they listen for the next release.

You can still create marketing lists and add members to them in the older UI by changing back to the Custom app which shows the entire site map. Any marketing lists created in this way can still be used as the basis for a segment.

I managed to add the 'Managed Members' button into the Marketing App by including the default 'Information' Marketing form into the App Designer for the Marketing App.

However, what I've found so far is that the members from these 'normal' Marketing Lists (i.e. not Subscription Lists) do not come up as Segment members.

Are the members of your marketing list Contacts? Remember that segments can only ultimately have Contacts in them. Also, make sure to give it plenty of time to refresh the segment. it can sometimes take hours to bring together all the members after go live.

Very frustrating. I've submitted an idea to allow us to refresh the members of the segment manually away from whatever automatic cycle they have in the background.

Yep, the members are Contacts and I've given it 24 hours and they still don't appear as Segment members. Does it work for you?

Agree with the ability to refresh segment on the go, it'd be very helpful to test the queries.

I feel a bit bad that we've hijacked this other guys original post.

I created a static Marketing List for Contacts and added a few Contacts.

Created a Segment. In the definition I told it to include Marketing Lists is <Name of marketing list> and linked it back to Contacts using the Marketing List intersect with Contact relationship.

Made Segment Live and waited about 5 mins. Then the 3 members showed up in the segment.

CRM_Begginer, have you switched the forms?  For example, if I create a Marketing List using the first form, I see:

    UnsavedMarketingList.png

If I switch forms and select the second form:

    SwitchForms.png

Then I don't have a members list or + button:

    MarketingListForm2.png

Also, if you've created a Dynamic Marketing List and haven't saved it, you won't see the + either like below:

    UnsavedMarketingList.png

If these don't address your issue, then please provide some further information as to the steps you're taking to create the Marketing List and some screenshots would be helpful.

    Thanks,

    Megan

Hi, in a contact, in related, you can find marketing list at the bottom.

When you have this Marketing list tab, then you have the option to add the contact you are on in one or more marketing list.

Of course this works only one by one.

Me too - hopefully this is my last reply on this - it definitely didn't work on mine, but I can see that the relationship name appears different from your screenshot when compared to mine. Mine just says the schema name "listmember_list_contact" so I'm thinking we must be on a different version.

I'm on the latest AU version available, but I know that other regions have a later release that isn't available yet in AU. Thanks for checking it out though. Glad the schema relationship name has been replaced with a more user friendly name!

    Cheers.
