Hello my name is Chris Coolen working for FourVision and we are the experts in D365 Human Resources and also integrating D365 Human Resources data into many different payroll systems. We did this already for many many customers all over the world, including the UK. Currently we are working even at a customer to integrate with Sage Snowdrop.

There are a lot of things which you have to take into account, which I am not going  to state all here, some important ones I will state here. If you want more information please contact us, so we can get in touch. We normally use a questionnaire of over 100 questions to get an inside on the payroll systems and the way they can integrate.

So there are many things to consider, some of the most Important ones I will state below:

    • Do you want to perform all changes in D365? (100% interface, so you be in sync. If you perform changes in both systems you will get out of sync very quick).
    • The way you want to integrate: API/Webservice (real time) , file based (once a month). You should aim for a provider which is able to integrate via API/Webservice (newest technology, which means a modern payroll system)
    • Can the system handle starters, changes and leavers in one file, instead of different files per group (this makes the interface complex)
    • More rows per employee. So not all the data of one employee on one row.
    • Is the payroll system able to cover delta's (changes only) or need a full dump.
    • Is the payroll effective date? So can every change I sent have an effective date.
    • Can the system handle retroactive changes? So no manual calculations needed,  but recalculated by the payroll)

And many more so over 100 questions more.  Hope it helps somehow.
