Deleting a subscription list

Hi,

If I delete or deactivate a subscription list, will this have any impact on the contacts on the list (making them inactive, etc.), or will it simply just remove the subscription list from each contact?

I would expect the 2nd to be the case, but I cannot find it mentioned anywhere, and the warning message is worrying me a bit haha:

Are you sure you want to deactivate the selected records? This will set their status to "Expired". This change will be permanent, so you won't be able to reactivate them later.

Hi Ioana L,

I did some tests, including deleting and deactivating the subscription list, and it did not affect the contacts.

Because a contact often exists in multiple subscription lists at the same time, changes to one of the subscription lists should not affect the other subscription lists.

In addition, please note that when a contact is inactive, they will remain in the subscription list.
