Transfer Contents of a Macro File to Another Macro File

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

How do I copy the Contents of a Macro File to Another Macro File?

I have a working Macro file and another one which errors out (Macro command not found. (Line #1)). Is it possible top all transactions related information from the non-working file to the working file?

They are 400+ pages for each macro, would you like me to copy just the top few lines?

Can you use rich formatting and the code block to paste your two macros? The one that works and the one that doesn't?

Thanks Mariano but it was already tried before I posted my questions.

After copying and pasting contents, when I save the file, the first two lines of the Macro are removed automatically.

Yes, you can edit the files in Notepad or any other text editor, then copy/paste the portions you are interested in, from the non-working macro, to the working macro. You need to be aware of the segments of macro code you will be copying over to make sure they are inserted in the same section as the transactions that work in the working macro.
