Has anyone come across this issue?
Steps as follows: Bank > Bank Account Details. Select Bank > Click Functions button > Account Reconciliation
Pick a day that is unreconciled. Click on the Print button > Reconciliation summary. Checking date = day you picked in the earlier step. Select Reconcilition summary option for the printout. Click ok
We seem to have a moving target on the unreconciled bank transactions amount. My theory is that any difference between the actual cheque amount and the amount cleared by the bank, say the following day, effects the previous day's unreconciled amount (open transactions). One live situation, seems to suggest that. We have to trace back previous months to prove our theory.
Example, on August 31st, we have an amount of 2,155,362.48 as a total of cheques not cleared at the bank. On sept 2nd, an outstanding cheque from the August 31st, total is cashed for 465.56 instead of 465. 66 (actual amount of the cheque). When we re-print the above mentioned report today, the total of outstanding cheques changed to 2,155,362,38. Funnily, a 10 cent difference.
I don't understand why AX would go back and change a previous total amount. Point to note: customer has not clicked on the reconcile button yet to close off the bank rec. I've tested this scenario on our test client and it doesn't make a difference whether the date in question is reconciled or if the reconcilaition is still open with a zero dollar difference.
Thanks
