Hi All,

I want to change the way ax process currently works for automatic role assignment.  All companies are assigned during the automatic role assignment. They want to default a persons home branch this will happen for any roles that are part of the automatic role assignment.

    Hi andre ,

I'd taken a look at the above blog , but its not helpful.

When there is any new rule assigned for a role then in that case the users should assign based on their home branch when we run  the automatic role assignment.

    Hi Pavasti,

I see. What are you looking for here then exactly? That somebody provides you some sample code how to realize this or something else?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig,

I'm not looking for any type of sample codes why you are thinking in that way . The above link is not matching my requirement, I want to get an idea from the Community people in an another way.

    Hi Pravasti,

What exactly do you mean with a home branch? Is it the legal entity here? If so, how many legal entities are you using? When defining the rules, you can also assign legal entities, which will then be used for the organization assignment for the user. In that case, you can actually create multiple rules per legal entity.

How did you currently setup the automatic role assignment? What triggers what role to be assigned?

I have managed to setup a system for a customer having more than 2500 legal entities using automatic role assignment only and with the correct legal entities.

    Hi Andre,

Home branch is nothing but a legal entity in which users are grouped based on thier home branch . At first i will be creating the rule for the role , When i run the batch job using automatic role assignment then in that case it should check whether any rule is created for that role if so then user should use only their particluar organisation, else it should assign for all organisations.

I'm not sure if I do understand you correctly. Can you elaborate? What is the exact trigger for having a single legal entity or all assigned? How do you currently know that a user belongs to a certain home branch? On what form do you define this?

    Hi Andre,

At the time of creating a user we assigning them to particular branch in which he will be active in that branch.Added a field in the hcmworker table.

    Hi Pravasti,

This part is understood now. Can you also tell how many different roles you have and what field is used to provide a value for the automatic rules?

    Hi Andre,

Say if there are only 2roles RoleA & Role B.

    Case 1:

If I am creating a Rule for Role A, then in that case the users who are all assigned for that role should be assigned to only their home branch when i ran the automatic job.

    Case 2:

If I am not creating any rule for Role B , then in that case the users who are all assigned for that role should be assigned to all organisation as the current AX process.

    Case 3:

For certian roles i am maintaining a form Where i will be selecting roles and branch select(as a enum field) , if for Role A -branch select is No  then in that case it should run for all the organisations.
