Team Member license for Marketing

Hi all,

We have a 10+ customer engagement plan licenses, so as an organisation, we qualify to use the Marketing App.

Do users who hold Team Members license have full use of the Marketing App (since it's licensed per organization) or are they still limited to the usual team member restrictions?

    Hi Yen Russell,

    You can find the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Licensing Guide here. Pages 37-41 of this PDF explains what use rights users have based on their license. You can compare the Team Member's column with the Marketing column to ascertain what use rights a user with a Team Members license has.

    Hi Adrian,

    Thanks for the reply - I have seen those pages in the licensing guide but I'm not sure if it's as straight forward as that given that Marketing is licensed per organization (not users).  From page 16:  

    "The Marketing application is licensed per organization and is based on contacts used in Dynamics 365 for Marketing. There is no purchase requirement for user licenses. The administrator will be able to assign user licenses through the admin portal for users that need access to the Marketing application. Since Marketing is an organization-based license, customers may install, use, and configure one Dynamics 365 for Marketing application with only one Dynamics 365 instance."
