How to delete item in warehouse which is not in use

I need to delete the item present in warehouse which is no longer in use now. Please suggest me.

    Hi Vinay,

    Can you tell if this item has history? If so, you can't delete it. You can then only stop it for being used on sales orders, purchase orders and inventory transactions.
