Save and Close doesnt close the record when custom iframe is loaded

I've created an extension which add a new section and loads an iframe into it. The iframe has another inner iframe to it. The outer iframe control what gets loaded into the inner iframe. When out iframe change the inner iframe source and then if I try to do Save and Close, it reset the inner iframe and doesn't close the form. If i click Save and Close again then it will work.

    Hi Himal,

    You are changing the inner frame src with javascript, so the DOM element just changed dynamically.

    In the video, we can find that Assistant and Contacts refreshed after you clicked the "Save & Close" button(0:42), it indicates that the form got refreshed too, hence the outer iframe was reset to the initial state.(no function is executed.)

    So I don't think it would an issue, but it will be helpful if you could share your real requirements.

    Hi Clofly,

    We're showing records associated to a selected drop down value in the inner iframe. The drop down is in the top iframe. and time the value changes for the top drop down, it would set the inner iframe source accordingly so that it can show the records associated with that selected value.

    So regarding the state of the iframe, 2 things are changed. 1 is the drop down selection and second is the iframe source.

    This save and close issue is only affecting the inner iframe. it doesn't reset the drop down.

    Hi Himal,

    I am not familiar with mechanism of the "Save and close" button, so unfortunately the only suggestion I could come up with is to render the table(inner iframe)  directly in top/outer frame without using iframe.
