Hi Everyone,
I once again need help with Performance Management.
But this this time specifically on Performance Review. I got that the measurement tab on the goal was not the right one to use for the company template.
On the MBO that we have there is no "Measurement" elements, we instead work with "weight".
I thought of working with the ratings instead, until now all is well;
The problem starts when it comes to assigning rating model elements to the different goals that employees have (which comes with factors that I think should be considered as scores but clearly no).
Can someone please explain to me how the rating tab under review work?
Thanks in advance.
The only parameters I know for Performance are under:
Personnell Management/Human resources shared parameters/Performance
You can use the Level field and fill it with values from 1..10 or add a custom field of the type Picklist with values 1..10.
From the Rating models mask follow the path: Options/Personalize this page/Add a field/(select column)/Create new field/...
However, the system will continue using the Factor in Reviews. Without a customization I don't think this can be solved easily, though maybe the others have better ideas. In theory, all that's needed is to increase the Factor by 1 in calculations.
I was wondering as well why Microsoft considered the 0..9 scale for the Factor.
Best regards,
Adrian
Hi Adrian,
Thank you very much for your input.
Adding a Weight custom field would definitely work for the goals only. I still need to customize or a customized rating model otherwise it is going to change our whole way of doing things.
Do you perhaps have an idea of how to customize rating models? I want to to be from 1 to 10. I have read articles but I can't really find help anywhere.
You can consider adding a Weight custom field to Goals and Goal templates. Even if you can't build logic into the system without customizations, you can still use the respective information for reporting (incl. checking whether the goals sum up to 100%).
In addition, you can use a Weight custom field also for Rating models, if the attained level needs to be considered as part of a calculation scheme for the salary/premium increase/change.
Hi NoNamw,
Please have a look at this link Performance management - Human Resources | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Docs.
