I have become a similar problem with an Excel workbook that loads data from four tables (regarding projects and timesheet data) as the size of the workbook has increased (now 25 MB).

I would be very thankful, if anyone has found a solution they would share.

    Best regards

I've run into this a bit working with the add-in and have found the following things help:

1.) Don't save the workbook with native Excel filters on the table objects.  It will cause this error.

2.) Sometimes going into design mode (click the "Fields" button) and then out and saving before refresh will eliminate the issue.

3.) If you get a "metadata" error, you probably have to start over, re-build the workbook from scratch.

4.) Sometimes this error can just be ignored.
