Hello,
Is there a better way to hold all other periods except the current?
Other than opening the periods in Excel Add-in and then putting all on hold. Like a check box that will do it, instead of having to manually do it.
Appreciate any tips.
Best Regards,
You can use data entity for bulk upload with hold status.
Hi MYGz,
There is no bulk update feature in the application itself. Like you mentioned yourself, you can use the Excel Add-in for this purpose.
One good alternative is to use entity "Ledger fiscal calendar period" to set period status til "On Hold" for specific companies.
This rutine can be done when you create a new legal entity in D365FO where you can old periods that you need to set them "OnHold" to avoid fail posting on Ledger period.
You can first export this entity to excel and then update the file and import it for the company that you need to set period status to "OnHold"
Thanks All,
@Alireza Ramit Paul Excel Add-in is easier approach instead of Data Management. I can navigate all the periods through General Ledger > Calendars > Ledger Calendars > Open in Excel > "Ledger fiscal calendar period".
I can then put whatever period I want on hold and publish.
