can somebody explain what is the exact function of the features "Installment eligible" and "schedule payments" in released products in relation to "payment schedules setups" for a costumer (knowing "Installment eligible" has to be activated to activate the "schedule payments" functions in the released product.)

Why can I set several payment schedules plan for a released products: what ist the aim of this function? What happens if I do not set anything here?

how does it work with/against/ in conjunction with the setups in the similar costumer setups
