Hi Experts,

Need your expertise help in fixing the below, this error infolog is while "Settle and post sales tax". We are using D365 FO Cloud Version:10.0.29 (10.0.1326.46).

1.As per the infolog branch dimension is missing:

A. Their no place to specify the dimensions in "Settle and post sales tax".

B. We don't want to allow blank posting in account structures.

2.Realized gain/loss, Unrealized gain/loss accounts have been maintained in ledger setup.

3.Realized gain/loss main account has been maintained in account structure.

4.Realized gain/loss, Unrealized gain/loss accounts have been maintained in currency revaluation accounts for respective currencies.

5.This error is for some of the periods only. (example: Jan-22 posted, Feb-22 has issue and so on) when i checked to compare for difference found out Jan-22 tax trans are in same currency (AED) while Feb-22 has multi currencies (AED & USD). Hence seeking for help and valuable suggestions.

Hi,

Please follow your error and check the ledger account which is giving this error in your error text ( Though you removed the ledger account)

Probably those accounts are settlement accounts and having no default branch value and hence as per structure this error is coming.

Note- this missing branch value can be an issue with your payable account as well if you have setup vendor as authority.

Your quick response is really appreciated.

The main account that giving error is "Foreign Exchange Gain / Loss".

Question if it is a settlement account, can we post with blank values.

Would you elaborate "Note- this missing branch value can be an issue with your payable account as well if you have setup vendor as authority".

Hi Experts,

In the mean while, in legal entity override of the specific main account i defaulted the dimension and was able to settle and post tax. But do i have to follow this for all the different dimensions where ever there is an issue or is there a way to over come this scenario, kindly advise.

Hi,

If you are using structure where branch blank is not allowed, then you have to add default dimensions or select dimensions in the transction wherever possible.
