Hello,
i want to attach images per route operation to make them visible in the production floor execution terminal within D365.
I know, that it is possible to attach notes. Is it possible to attach images, too?

I need to be able to see the image after either clicking the instructions Button or to be visible immideatily where the little camera is shown at the moment.

Does anyone know how to do that?

Thank you in advance!
Simon

Attach Image per route operation in D365 F&O
    Hello Holly!

Thank you in advance for that information. I hope you are well, too!

Can you please explain Step 2, that you mentioned, in more detail? I cant find any configuration to set the instruction button up for showing attachments.
Could you please show me the config for that?
    Would be great!

    Thank you very much!

    Kind regards
    Simon

Attach Image per route operation in D365 F&O
Hi there! Good morning, evening, or afternoon - depending on where you are :) Hope you are well today!

Yes, it is possible to attach images to route operations in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) and make them visible in the Production Floor Execution terminal. Here's how you can achieve this:

    1. Attach Images to Route Operations
    • Navigate to Production Control > Setup > Routes > Route Operations.
    • Open the specific route operation where you want to attach an image.
    • Use the Attachments feature (paperclip icon) to upload the image. Ensure the image is stored as a file attachment.
    2. Enable Image Visibility in Production Floor Execution
    • To make the image visible in the Production Floor Execution terminal:
      • Ensure the Instructions button is configured to display attachments.
      • Alternatively, configure the terminal to display the image directly in the interface where the camera icon is shown.
    3. Use Customization (if needed)
    • If the out-of-the-box functionality does not meet your requirements (e.g., displaying the image immediately without clicking the Instructions button), you may need minor customization:
      • Use the Form Personalization or Development Tools to modify the Production Floor Execution interface.
      • Add a control to display the image directly in the terminal.
    4. Test the Setup
    • After attaching the image and configuring the terminal, test the setup by navigating to the Production Floor Execution terminal and verifying that the image is visible as expected.
