Our business has been acquired by a larger competitor who will no longer use D365 (they're an SAP shop). What are our options for archiving the entirety of our D365 F&O database, including documents, for archiving purposes? The IRS and several States require that you maintain all data, including docs, for 3-7 years for audit purposes. We need to be able to maintain historical data, and query it. However, we will not be actively using D365 for ongoing transactions.
Hi Klondike55,
I have no experience with this situation.
For the data, you can download a backup of the database. Probably you can contact Microsoft Support for the best option to get a copy of the documents which are stored on Azure Storage in a container linked to your current environment.
