Duplicate Invoice in Invoice field

Hi,

I have 2 journals of type daily, AR and AP.

If I enter a previously posted invoice number in AR journal (via general journal form), the journal validates successfully.

But when I enter it in AP journal, it throws duplicate error.

I wanted to understand why does it allows duplicate invoice number on Customer line but not on Vendor line?

    Hello MYGz,

    Please check your AR and AP parameter forms.

    There are specific parameters available that determine whether duplicate values are allowed or not.

    Thanks. There is a check for duplicate Invoice in AP parameters. But I didn't find any duplicate check in AR parameters. What can be the reason for this?

    Hi,

    Not sure if there is one for AR because SO's and FTI's usually get their invoice numbers through a number sequence.
