Upload Multiple Workorders

Hi Everyone, 

Have a situation that i need resolved. 

For reasons beyond our control, we have to create almost 700 work orders(WO) in FS. 

Is there a way I can create multiple WO by uploading(excel) in Field Service? 

Or is there another work around our team could use?

    Since 700 records is a low count, I would recommend the standard data import functionality in CRM.

    Create a CSV file with work order mandatory fields.

    I find SSIS using Kingsway soft connector is usually better in this type of situation. It's free to use in Visual Studio desktop and if you make an error it's far easier to re run to update if you send output to SQL

    I would recommend the following actions:

    • Create an excel spreadsheet containing the mandatory fields for a work order and any optional fields you wish to include
    • use a Dataflow to pull the details into the work order table

    Possibly you can use the Import function (Advanced Settings, Settings, Data Management), but would need proper Template Exported for WO data.  IE move your spread sheet data into proper columns in Exported Template.  I've not tried such a challenge.
