Analysis by Dimensions Matrix - Show as Chart does not work.

Dear All,

I have a problem with usage of "Analysis by dimension matrix" with the option of: "Show as chart"

So at the first step, I have a analysis that works fine - so all data are presented in a correct way in "Show as list" view.

Yet as soon as I switch into "Show as chart" view and I play with <select measure> and <select dimensions> in all possible combinations, I keep receiving one message: "Data to show in this view does not exist"

Any idea what might be wrong with this view?

Btw. the view "Show as chart" works fine ie. on Customer list :).

    Hey Przemek Dziedzic ,

The Show as Chart is not available in Matrix Pages.

The Reason what i can think of is -

    1. Matrix Page provides us a view of data from multiple tables and the Field Names are also generated during Execution of Matrix Pages.

    Hope it helps.

    Yeah! I think that too.

However, using filter we can reduce the content.

    Still not displaying...

So this will not be possible to use in Analysis by Dimension? So why Microsoft did add that button on Matrix :) ?

    Hi,

But, when I drilled down to one of the entries from the Analysis by Dimension, I am able to get the Chart view.

    Best Regards,

    MMV

Thanks MMV, at minimum something :).

Yet I still think that there is a missing connection to the table on the main Analysis view...have a look: when drill down, the possible fields to use in the chart do really make sens - are connected to the table. In case of main window (before drill down), the possible to choose options are mining less. They are not connected to anything related with my analysis source table nor dimensions values. It really looks like missing connection to the table.
