Recent cases not showing for contact

In the case entity, the records are creating from api. The owner of those records are the application user of the azure app.

I am having system administrator role. When I go the contact record say Alex -> Related -> recent cases, I could not find the recent cases for Alex. But we have few case records are created for Alex which is referred in the customer field.
