Able to change pricing from a trade agreement when creating a PO

Hi. We have trade agreements in place. We noticed that when we create a PO for an item that has a trade agreement in place, that the user is able to change the price on the PO that pulls from the trade agreement. User access roles that were granted are: Buying Agent, Receiving Clerk, Employee. Thanks

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Nadira,

Do you have an actual question here? Related to the same topic, another person had a question about 5 days ago on this forum. You can read the question and an answer on this thread: Restrict users from editing Purchase order prices for Items under trade agreements (PurchPrice) - Dynamics 365 Finance Forum Community Forum

If you have a different question, please update this post with your specific question.

thanks Andre, this does answer my question. Is the ability to change a price from a trade agreement in a PO only apply to trade agreements ie. if we use purchase agreements, are users still able to change the price?

    Hi Nadira,

Regardless from what source (e.g. trade or purchase agreement) a purchase price is initiated, a user would be always able to change the price; unless you restrict it by a customization.

Thanks. Could we customise this via custom roles?

    Hi Nadira,

With a custom security role, you can only block the field or have it editable, but not depending on data. So, custom roles will not be the solution. It should be solved with additional x++ logic.
