Database Restore

We are looking at our first migration and have done the SMA.

We obviously have to restore the customers database initially for remediation which will create a sandbox environment.

After remediation and we want to go live, we will upload another backup of their production org. Will this create a production environment or will it overwrite the sandbox which we will then have to promote to production

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Gary,

The system doesn't change it to production, that is something you will do. You could either

    1. Write over what you have already.(please make sure you export all your changes to a solution so you have all your chaanges before proceeding.

    2. Migrate to a new sandbox and change to production when ready.
