I want to confirm that it is not currently possible to dynamically insert text, into an email template, from a field on a related entity record. For example, I have created a Global email template that I will send from Case records. I want to pull in the value from the record of the Account populated in the Account field on the Case record. The field I want to pull in only exists on the record for the Account associated with the case. It does not exist on the Case record.

Hello Nya, This answer does not help. I am not trying to insert values from Custom entities. I am trying to insert values from related records.
Unfortunately you can only insert Primary column value from related entity. You can insert any other fields from related entity in Email Template dynamically.
You will need to create that field in your primary entity and auto populate these field value using Workflow/plugin and then use those in your email template.
