Settle EDC batch automatically?

Is there a way to have the credit card batch settling automatically? I find to be old school having to go manually doing this (settling batch) every single day. Is there a setting I missing? 

Our credit card processing company is Mercury Payment

    There is no option to settle automatically because should there be any issues while you are attempt to settle. The system prompts you of the issue to allow you an opportunity to correct it. A bad transaction is enough to cause the whole batch to fail. You aren't missing a setting, five minutes of old school is likely better than days to get it straightened out if it failed because it was automated. I hope that answers the question for you also.

    No. I disagree and as far as I can understand there should not  be any issue after the transaction is being completed. Before having RMS we used another software and never had an issue because of automatically batch closing. Is very inconvenience

    Thank you for your reply Daniel, how software other than RMS may have been configured to perform this process for you, I would have no knowledge of. I wanted to provide you with the answer to your question concerning a setting in RMS to perform this task or process automatically, one does not exist that I am aware of.

    There is a utility from Retail Realm that will AutoClose with Mercury.  If you make the move to EMV with Mercury, their software includes an AutoClose function.

    If you're looking for an alternative to Mercury, let me introduce you to Velocity - the integrated payment division of North American Bancard. 

    Velocity offers an RMS plug-in that connects your application to our semi-integrated EMV solution. Included in our service is an auto close feature. You can specify the hour that you want your batch to close.
