The G/L Register is created automatically when journal lines are posted. If the register number referenced doesn’t exist, it may be due to:

Corrupted data or missing entries in the G/L Register table

Use the Page Inspection tool (Ctrl+Alt+F1) on the journal or ledger entry to confirm the register number and related metadata.

Go to General Ledger Entries and filter by Document No. or Posting Date to see if the entries were posted but not linked to a register.

If you suspect a customization is involved, check whether any extensions modify the posting behavior for Fixed Asset G/L Journals. You can also use Help & Support > View Last Known Error to trace the issue.

In some cases, restarting the service tier or revalidating the journal batch can resolve temporary metadata sync issues.
