Can't set Number sequence Reference in scope except company

Hello ,

Whenever I am trying to generate a new number sequence , in scope if i am selecting company then only reference tab is showing modules  but if i am selecting any of the scope except company reference lookup  is blank please tell me how to set reference for  scope "legal entity for fiscal period" referenced to general ledger.

    Hi Nakul,

    Please check the Segment configuration form. Find the reference you want to add after highlighting General Ledger (in Area). Notice there is a "Segments" section on the right. The checkboxes underneath indicates what kind of segments are supported by this reference.

    e.g. "Journal Batch number" only supports "Company", "Mandat" in "Accounts Payable" supports both "Company" and "Fiscal calendar period"

    As for why reference lookup is blank. That's because most of the references in AX either support none or only the "company" segment. That's why you basically see nothing when choosing a scope other than "Company".

    Thank you Dominic for your kind reply but i want to do customization for that is that possible to customize that     if yes then please give a hint regarding to that?

    Please have a look at this post by Martin: dev.goshoom.net/.../year-in-number-sequence

    I haven't tried it myself. But to customize an existing EDT probably involves:

    - Modify the date type registration in the related module.

    - Update all related code in system which generate number sequence code for this data type such that they all consider the additional segments.
