Why opening balances and closing balances option are not available in D365 summary trial balance report.

It is the basic requirement of every client.

Hi,

Microsoft have created the column layout in Summary Trial Balance Report for displaying the opening balance and closing balance of each account by default.

There is no option in the request page to show the data in report based on Opening and Closing option.

Hi ,

Just to confirm you want to have Opening and closing balances of the account in trial balance report?

if yes then there is separate report for that which is "Trial Balance Detail/Summary"

if you want as option/filter for opening and closing balance in "Trial Balance Report " there is no standard option/filter available in request page of Trial balance report.

Yes I need opening and closing .

Only trial and detailed trial are available.

Are you a super user or can you check that you have permission to access this Report ID- 10021- Trial balance Summary/Detail.

Also let me know what version and localization is your business central

Can you create a test permission sets and then in that permission sets add the report and its id? Refer the below screenshot.

and assign this test permission sets to yourself and try if u are able to see summary trial balance report

You don't have this report in your localization as of now.

if you want the opening and closing balance in your trial balance report you can go for customization as of now.
