Nav 2016 RemoteApp on Server 2012R2 issue with CMD kept prompting up

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello,

We have Server 2012R2 RDS infrastructure running with no issue with other apps such as calculator

When we publish Nav 2016 RemoteApp, the connection is fine, but every time we run the Nav 2016 RemoteApp, it also prompt up the CMD window

We have checked there is no start up script, no GPO, no logon script etc that could have caused this.  This CMD window "DOES" close it self after few minutes, but there is nothing showing what is running in the command.

Thoughts?

Thanks!!

@Rabinadra, thanks for the tips, unfortunately it does not work, the CMD window still pops up, any only when it is Nav 2016 RemoteApp, other app like Excel, Calculator, IE, etc dont have the CMD popup

@Alexander, this is just to select the app from "\\[server-fqdn]\C$\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\90\RoleTailored Client\Microsoft.Dynamics.Nav.Client.exe" as usualy just like all other apps.

Then set the parameter to -settings:"[path-to-config-file].config" for specific Instance, the CMD pops up even if "Do not allow any command-line parameter" is chosen.

How are you running the NAV itself during the setup of RemoteApp? What are you actually running? Are you pointing to NAV executable or to a batch that runs it with some parameters?

    Hi,

I think the answer provided in this link might help...
