Customer profile does not have any data

Hi, I have been trying to unify two data sources in D365 Customer Insight, however data from one sources is not loading at all. Please see the attached image. The data from main sources is not coming at all. Contact is the main source and minicontact is just duplicated contacts with fewer fields (generated to merge data as a second source).  Data from minicontact is coming but not from the main source (contact).

When I take contact data in Power BI with CI connector, everything looks fine.

When I generated the customer profile, there is no field values as we see in the image below.  The whole process ran smoothly and there is no error on any entity when I checked in data and then in entities.

I can not figure out where is the issue at all.

Has anybody got problem like this ?

Any idea/suggestion is much appreciated.

Thanks,

Mahesh

I can't tell from this what the number should be but one of two things is likely happening.

These are the dedupe config, what are you merging the profiles on in th merge step? What I suspect is happening is it's being merged on id, b/c they are copies of each other, but the priority on the fields is wrong. check the merge rules first, make sure you are including all records from the entity that has those attributes filled out the most and then check the , Order,Rank on the last page that indicates how the fields are combined.  If it's all ingesting correctly , it's very likely in the last step or last step in conjunction with previous one.

Thanks for the quick reply Bill. When I set up match rules and conditions, I could see data is not coming at all. And I have given contact as order1. I combined those entities based on first name, full name and email address.

Also, when I had ingested the data source in CI, another admin user can not edit. But I can see the data source that have been ingested by other. Is it causing the issue?CI-Managed-by-me_2E00_.PNG

    1. can you check the message when you click on "Completed with warnings"

    2. Can you navigate to "Entities" from the left Nav and click on the "D365Data" entity. in the attributes list, click on summary of one of the ID fields. That should show the # of rows and also any missing values. Does it show 0 or shows some counts.

    3. can you click on the "connections" mentioned above the Data sources listed.  This will navigate to the dataverse environment that the power query is running the dataflow from.

    4. Navigate to the data flows and find the failing one; should be something like "D365Data (Customer Insights)"

    5. View the Refresh history for the data flow to see if there are failures.

So when you look at entities  and saw no errors, did that mean it's all Success or that there aren't any that have _corrupt on them? I have seen some stuff with dataverse where modifiedon and createdon caused a problem but I don't think it's here.  The behavior you mention about the other admin, is it possible that there's a filter condition you''re not aware of? What I mean is, you can edit the dataflow in both power platform AND ci and changes that you make in one don't necessarily show in the other.  In Power Platform, you can look under dataflows - All DataFlows -> Search for his name and take ownership.  You may have to refresh credentials but make sure you see rows coming back and that it publishes.  Then do the same in CI.  If data is coming back in both of those then I'm not sure.

Thanks both. When I set up the refresh from the admin--system--schedule, then I get the warning on data sources. It says "you have managed those data sources and it refresh on your scheduled time). But when I refresh data sources manually, everything runs perfectly fine.

Now, when I go to Admin--System--and status  Data source refreshing is fine. There is problem with Data Preparation.

Power Platform seems to be fine. In Power Platform, there is contacts, that I can not delete. It says something wrong, try again later.  I had previously created this data sources and deleted. However, it seems its still there. Is this causing the issue?

    Thanks @Bill, Mukesh

There is only one error on Data Preparation. Data sources refreshed successfully. Unfortunately, it does not give much information about the error. Please see the error below. @Mukesh, I tried to raise the ticket but I do not get any option for "Severity" of problem. With out that field, it does not allow me to create the ticket as that field is mandatory. Please see the error below.

Do you see option for selecting severity or you need info on what severity to select?

Mukesh, I do not see any option to select. The drop down menu is completely blank.  I did try to select that blank space and send it, but it says, you need to select severity and force me to start from the beginning.
