Hi,
I have a requirement to send email to the distribution list [DL]. In my case it is security group.
Can I use segments and journey to send out the emails to a DL ? If yes how ? any links will really help.
Also will I be able to send emails to new members of this group only ?

Segments are built on contacts only. That means you'll need to have all members from you SG added as contacts into Dynamics first.
There's also a possibility to create a subscription list (analogue to your DL), but I'm not sure if that is relevant.
It is not clear from your question where this security group comes from.
