Hi,
It looks like in D365FO, if we added an index in SQL Server (not on AOT), even we do a database sync, the index is not deleted?

Try to delete the field from table and add him and rebuild the project

You can actually add new indexes to your prod system via LCS. I guess this is why the db sync will not delete indexes that don't exist in AOT. Otherwise the indexes added from LCS would be wiped out.
Does it mean it won't delete indexes in PROD, but for other environments, indexes will be wiped out if they are not on AOT?
Yes , if you add index directly in SQL , its going to be deleted after synchronization , you can try it in your dev VM. In PROD, if you create index through LCS directly in SQL to fix performance issue and even if its not dropped , you should plan it to implement it as a part of your application application.
