permission to compile Bom

Hi There

we just came across a permission issue to compile Bom, the user got a message "You do not have sufficient permission to perform the request operation " when compiling the Bom

 after test ,we found that the user is finally able to do that until we set Development node into Full Control (despite the permission of all the sub-nodes under Development node are No Access). but it will bring an other permission worry that the AOT will be in full control after the Development node are granted into full Control.

 is there a way to hide AOT or other control can be set for compiling Bom . thanks

    Hi, Can you also give some background like which form and where you tried compiling the BOM ? At this moment what i can think is possibly consider using runas() call, where you can impersonate on a different user only for this process thread.

    are you talking about the product builder if yes then you have to give user an access to the development code if they are creating new item using product builder.
